Laghu-siddhāntakaumudī does not carry this rule. It stands in the Aṣṭādhyāyī at 7.2.52, and the abridgement is 1,269 of Pāṇini's 3,983 rules — so this is a place where the poem runs past the textbook.

वस् and क्षुध् take इट् before a त-initial निष्ठा affix

The roots वस् "to dwell" and क्षुध् "to be hungry" take the इट् augment (an इ) before a त-initial निष्ठा affix. वस्, whose semivowel collapses to उ, gives उषित, and with the prefix प्र, प्रोषित "having dwelt away, departed", प्रोषितानाम् "of the departed". This rule stands outside the Laghu-siddhāntakaumudī abridgement.
