ललिताः वनिताः
कर्मधारय — lovely women
ललिता वनिता येषु ते
बहुव्रीहि — the ones in which there are lovely women
बहुव्रीहि — it refers to प्रासादाः. with lovely women in them — Mallinātha resolves it ललिता रम्या वनिताः स्त्रियो येषु ते, glossing ललित with रम्य, delightful, and वनिता with the plain स्त्री, woman. **This is the first half of the first pair the stanza is built out of**: the palaces have their women where the cloud has its lightning, and the two stand side by side in one pāda with nothing between them to say they are being compared. वनिता is feminine and the compound describes the masculine प्रासादाः, so the ā shortens — Pāṇini 1.2.48 गोस्त्रियोरुपसर्जनस्य ह्रस्वः, which shortens a feminine that has become a subordinate member of a compound
uncheckedMallinātha, Sañjīvinī, who resolves the bahuvrīhi with येषु ते and glosses both members; Pāṇini 1.2.48 by way of skt-mcp, which he does not cite“yatrālakāyāṃ lalitā ramyā vanitāḥ striyo yeṣu te”
