क्वसुश्च

लघुसिद्धान्तकौमुदी 825 · प्रकरण 34, which opens at ण्वुल्तृचौ · rule 46 of 64 in it

and क्वसु — the active perfect participle affix, after लिट्

After the perfect (लिट्), the previous rule lets कानच् replace it and this one lets क्वसु do so, each optionally, turning a finite perfect into a participle. क्वसु gives the active (parasmaipada) perfect participle in -वस्: √स्था gives तस्थिवस्, 'having stood', which declines तस्थिवान्, तस्थिवांसौ, तस्थिवांसः. Its weak stem is -उष् (तस्थुष्-) and its strong -वांस्, the long ā coming by 6.4.10. The affix is what makes 'he stood' into 'one who has stood', a word that can qualify a noun.
